Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is Percleus?
Percleus is a CMS (Content Management System), a fancy name for a web site that uses a database to store its content, which provides a higher degree of control and flexibility.

  • Who is the author of Percleus?
    Michael Perry

  • Why another CMS? What's so special about Percleus?
Most content management systems IMO are not terribly flexible. They are either mundane blog-type sites with limited functionality, or they're stolid sites which all have the same uninspiring look-and-feel (i.e. phpNuke). I wanted to create a CMS which went beyond the common and offered a balance between flexibility and customization. I wanted to create something which gave different people, differing levels of access to content on a site, and lots of ways in which the content could be displayed.
